Health Care For The Holidays Rallies
Nine Washington cities are scheduled to hold Health Reform Rallies on Dec 12th to show that Washington State is demanding universal health care for the holidays. Help send a message to Congress that we need universal coverage now.
- Seattle: 2 p.m. – 3 p.m., Occidental Park. Speakers include Mayor-elect Mike McGinn, Rep. Jim McDermott, & Rabbi Yohanna Kinberg.
- Tacoma: 1:30 – 3 p.m. First United Methodist Church
- Bellingham: 12 noon, City Hall
- Everett: 1 p.m. Everett Courthouse Amphitheater
- Olympia: 12 -1 p.m, Sylvester Park on the corner of Capitol Way and Legion Way
- Vancouver: 12 Noon, Esther Short Park
- Spokane: TBD, Riverside Park (permit pending)
- Yakima: 1pm, Chesterly Park at the corner of N. 40th Ave and Powerhouse Rd.
- Bremerton: 10:30-12:00, Harborside Park
Folks attending the rallies in Seattle, Bellingham, Everett, Olympia, Spokane, Yakima, & Bremerton are asked to bring two holiday greeting cards, one addressed to Sen. Murray and the other to Sen. Cantwell. Those attending the Vancouver rally are asked to bring one greeting card addressed to Rep. Brian Baird. Please write a personal message requesting Health Care for the Holidays. There will be large boxes available in each location to deposit your greeting cards (no postage required).
